Like I said, I can never watch these episodes without getting red in the face and my heart rate speeding up. I mean, the episode does start out all fuzzy but as soon as Ruby mentions Blake, Yang gets hostile towards her.
Can't say I blame her. Yang's character is that of a mother; after Raven walked out on everyone's life and Summer died during a mission, she had to pick up the pieces and be that mother figure to Ruby. It only makes sense that she would apply that sentiment to Blake, especially that talk back in Volume 2, when Blake's obsession to find out what Roman was up to was eating her alive. Unfortunately, the fandom is probably gonna see this as Bumbleby proof. My point is that Yang did the best she could to try and have Blake open up and see that she has family in that of the friends she cares about and to have her go back to the way she was and run away as soon as things went wrong, betrayed Yang in a way. Friends do not run out on each other, they stand by you through all the bad and the good. Although, looking back at Volume 3, it did seem that Blake still had a difficult time in trust, especially when the world was convinced that Yang broke Mercury's leg during the tournament and Blake didn't side with her team and only believed Yang when she looked her in the eye and said Mercury attacked first.
That aside, I do like the talk with Yang and Weiss. I'm glad these two are spending more time together as they do have similar pasts as they do mention how each was lonely in a way. I'm just glad that Weiss managed to get away from that prison she called Atlas.
Now for the episodes end. Oh boy do I have a lot to say, and some of it is not good. At first I thought that Illia could be sympathetic, but no, she is exactly like the Stormtroopers of the First Order: following orders without question because she believes that they are the future of the world and will bring order. Also, THERE ARE SPIDER FAUNUS NOW!!! How many varieties of Faunus are we going to get?!? Also, Illia is turning out to be just as hateable as Adam and Mercury. I mean, she says there is no such thing as innocent, sacrifices must be made to move forward and violence gets them results. On top of that, Blake was to be taken to Mistral, to Adam, and then Illia said it. She saw the way Blake looked at Adam; that is not something you say just for the heck of it. How could I have been so blind? Blake actually did have a thing for Adam before coming to her senses but then Illia says that she wished Blake looked at her the same way. That is not only creepy but sounds like Illia was obsessed with Blake. I thought Illia could be redeemed, but she is beyond redemption. She's like Azula: Insane to the point where she needs to be put away.
As for the tail end of the episode, so much for taking the White Fang back. You know a group has hit a low point when they outright attack the leader/governor to "move forward." At least Kali is no pushover and defends herself and Ghira, he is about to go Wolverine on Corsac and Fennic. I REALLY don't want anything to happen to the Belladonna's. They're the best parents aside from Tai in the show.

I'm Back
Hey everyone, it's me again. Sorry I have not been posting for a while. A lot came up and I could not post anything. Just to let you all know, I am back and while my writers block is still pretty bad, my art ideas are not. It has been a while, but I think it is time to get out my Gaomon again to experiment digitally. First off, I hope you all had a great New Years and are having a wonderful Valentine's Day. As many of you know, the GxK trailer dropped today, and I cannot tell you how hyped I am for it. It looks much better than trailer 1 and it looks like Legendary is keeping Shimo obscured for now but man, the look on Kong's face for that reveal. That is worthy of a chef's kiss. While he may not be as physically imposing as Ghidorah, Skar King is formidable, using his bone whip with deadly precision. Plus, I think it is a neat idea to make this character a rival to Kong since he really doesn't have many well known enemies. Think about it, he's battled dinosaurs like the T-Rex
Kaiju Media
Ever since I was little, I have always had this fascination for dinosaurs and monsters. Books, movies, games, you name it, whenever a dinosaur was present on the cover, I gave it my undivided attention. Made things even better when I discovered Godzilla; not only was he a dinosaur, but a king as well so I followed every bit of Godzilla media I could find, developing a passion for the series. Then of course once I was in school (middle school), people would always make fun of me for liking Godzilla, always saying that the films were objectively bad simply due to the time period. Sometimes it got so bad, arguments would break out or I would isolate myself. Reminds me of that one panel from the comic books: Still to this day, Godzilla remains my all-time favorite character in media. His series has shown that he is extremely versatile, which is why the Godzilla series has lasted as long as it has; there is a Godzilla film for everyone. Ever since the MonsterVerse began back in 2014, the
Gamera Rebirth: My Thoughts
Been a while since I posted a journal. How about something I have been waiting a long time for. As many of you know, Gamera is among my favorite Kaiju ever. Since his re-characterization in the 90's, he has proven to keep up with and even surpass Godzilla at times. It seems history has repeated as Gamera Rebirth is far more entertaining than Godzilla Singular Point. When watching Singular Point, I tried to keep up, but in the end, I was left disappointed. I will admit that the anime did have some fantastic moments, like Godzilla Ultima's first scene with Akira Ifukube's theme blasting proudly. However, while many did seem to enjoy it, as a second season was announced, as well as the anime receiving awards, I am just not excited for season 2. That said, I was initially skeptic of hearing that Gamera was returning in a six-episode anime. So far, I was not convinced as Singular Point disappointed me as well as the Polygon films, though I did reserve judgement when it was announced.
Top 10 Jurassic Moments
In honor of the 30th Anniversary of Jurassic Park, I would like to go over some of my all time favorite moments from my second favorite franchise. As you know, I am a sucker for dinosaurs. I mean, just look at my name. it kind of gives it away. I remember watching the original at just three years old and rather than be scared, I was enthralled, especially when I saw the T-Rex. Thanks to JP, We're back, land Before Time, and Walking with Dinosaurs, I became a fanatic, though, looking at dinosaur media now, I definitely prefer the retro looks but appreciate the science behind making dinosaurs act like real animals (the exact same thing JP did). Just look at how good Prehistoric Planet is. I like to think of it as this generations version of Walking with Dinosaurs. But now, let's take a look at some of the best moments from the series that introduced a generation to the most successful group of animals of all time, from one of the greatest series of all time. 10. Old friends can make the most fierce enemies, and when they are obsessed with something they can never have they become dangerously unstable.
With that in mind I fear what may happen to the Belladonna's, although such a tragedy just may be the spark needed to inspire the Faunus to fight the White Fang.
