Okay. First off, Movie Thoughts will now be submitted into the gallery and I'll try to put them as well as my Monster Journals there without deleting the journals. Anyway, off to what you came here for.
Not bad for my first movie of the year. Plus I think it's official that Phase 3 of Marvel is my favorite. Everything is so deep and the new characters introduced are amazing but my favorite by far is Wakanda's Black Panther. After hearing about the character a few years ago, I did some digging and he turned out to be an amazing hero. Not to mention his appearance in Civil War made me all the more curious to how his story would be tackled. The verdict: Black Panther is one of the most creative, visually stunning and downright best films of Phase 3 and the MCU as a whole.
The way each character was handled was indeed faithful to the source material and of course T'challa was the most well developed and fleshed out character and I liked how he became king and throughout the film, he had that pressure, eventually having to prove himself as Wakanda's true king and lead his people into the future. Andy Serkis as Klau was a nice addition since we haven't seen him since Age of Ultron and even though his screentime isn't much, he still has a lot of it. Now Michael B. Jordan's character, Death Monger was an interesting one altogether, however, his motives are one of my problems with the film. I won't bring it up for spoilers sake but it makes me question why he even wanted all that power in the first place. Everyone else was on point and the action was incredible. Even Martin Freeman's character had more to do and I'm surprised he didn't report what happened. Or maybe he did and it was all offscreen. Anyways, go see Black Panther, his character is expanded upon, the Wakandan culture is impressive and in typical Marvel fashion, Stan Lee is always good to see. See this movie. You will not be disappointed.

I'd honestly give it more of a 9/10 it earned it in my opinion oh but I agree amazing movie
